SUCCESSION PLANNING: A DOCUMENT FOR THE CREDENZA OR AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE ORGANIZATION

Recently, Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. appointed Thomas Marra , a long-tenured senior executive with The Hartford,  as its  President & Chief Operating Officer .  Simultaneously, two internal  senior  executives  - Neal Wolin and John Walters - were  named President  and COO's of P&C Operations and Hartford Life, respectively.  Lizabeth Zlatkus  - too, a long-tenured senior executive at The Hartford  - was appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer,  Alan Kreczko - internal - was named Executive Vice President and General Counsel, and Eileen Whelley - internal - was named Executive Vice President, Human Resources.  These moves - again, all internal - triggered other internal promotions across the organization as well.


It is evident that Succession Planning and Development are alive and well at The Hartford.
